Holiday. Chapter 1. Mount Manganui & birthday celebration

We finally packed our bags again on Friday and took the longest, most boring Naked bus journey to Mount Manganui. The bus was packed with people and the bus driver wasn't ashamed to say that he had no freaking idea how anything on this bus worked. He couldn't change his seat, work out the microphone or open the luggage door. 5 hours (that would've taken like 2,5 hours in a car) didn't exactly fly by but when we did arrive to the Mount it was totally worth it.

Guys parents have come aaaall the way across the world from the uk to spend their 3 week holiday with us four (guy, Scott Danni and me) and only after a day together we're already getting super spoilt. I'm so lucky to be a part of this family!

Yesterday was a rainy day, and also Barry's birthday so what better way to spend a day like that than with some nice cups of tea (with gin)?

This was during happy hour at the Pizza library which is this super cool place! We also played some pool and for dinner we ended up at this even cooler place called the Mount social club. The interior is mean and I would live in here if I could! Not only that, this is one of few places in the Mount with decent vegan choices on their menu. Like this amazing Eggplant stack (that even came with vegan cheese on top!) and a delicious coconut curry (yes I stole some from Guys plate!) we also had olives and potato and kumara fries for starters so I was so full and ready for bed after this meal!

An even bigger plus to Mount Social Club is that they apparently changing the menu from next week on to an even more vegan friendly one! There have been loads of requests from people visiting, hence this change. See. YOU can make a change 😘
