I (and all my fellow vegans) heart Brighton

It only takes a 45 minute train ride from central London to get that mini-break from the big city life that we all need sometimes, and instead spend the day in the cool, quirky city of Brighton.

It was an amazing feeling getting of the train, having a stroll around the city and be by the sea again. Even though I'm ridiculously scared of them ocean waves, sitting in the sun whilst watching the ocean with the sea breeze hitting my face felt magical.

Me and Guy started off the day with a long walk along the beach, but didn't miss out the chance of being proper Brighton tourists and walk along the Brighton Pier as well.

Not only is the seafront amazing, so are the many cute streets with all the cute and colourful houses on them.

But the best part about Brighton? That veganism seems to be the rule rather than the exception. For example, walking into the Infinity Foods store, was like walking into a vegan dream, as they sell everything you can ever imagine from your wildest vegan dreams. The bakery section was my favourite bit with so many choices a freshly baked goodies.

There is even a fully vegetarian pub called the Prince George and I got so excited when we ran across the Northern Lights restaurant. They have real Malmö falafel on the menu - it definitely cannot get better than that!

We spent most of our Saturday in Brighton around the hip North Laine area doing some affordable vintage clothes shopping and lots of eating and drinking. There are so many quirky shops to stop by at, as well as cool cafes and restaurants. Like the Painting Pottery Cafe where you can craft and drink coffee at the same time. The number of different cool looking cafes were almost overwhelming. All I wanted to do was to sit down and have coffee in all of these different places all day long.

We had some lovely soya lattes at Pelican Cafe. A really cool cafe with so many non-vegan sweet treats infront of us so that we had to go straight to the ice cream cafe Gelato Gusto afterwards just to still the sweet tooth cravings with some heavenly vegan salted caramel gelato.

Because we've been craving some of that Loving Hut food since we last visited a Loving Hut in Peru earlier this year, we felt obliged to stop of at the Loving Hut in North Laine for some skewers with peanut butter sauce and a breakfast fry up platter. The staff is lovely, so is the food and the prices are good as well. Oh, and they also make the best milkshakes with cream and croissants as well. I wish the Loving Hut in London wasn't so far away from where I live, because I would probably go there all the time.

We left Brighton that evening absolutely stuffed and recharged for our London life.
