Yesterday Guy and me took a mini-tourist-cycling-trip to one of the very smokey, very smelly thermal pools in Rotorua.
In the evening Martin took us to the weekly Thursday Market in downtown Rotorua. It was such a nice atmosphere with lots of people and live music, but unfortunately we were a little bit too late as all the stands had started to shut down when we arrived = no falafel for us.. Except for the last hummus and bread for me and one falafel that Mansours Palestinian Falafel let us have to share before they closed their stand (which was yummy, but didn't really make us full).
So instead Martin came up with the brilliant idea to go to Burgerfuel instead to check out if they had a vegan burger - turned out Burgerfuel is more vegan-friendly than any one of us could expect. There were two burgers that could easily turn into vegan from vegetarian and they also had soy shakes and superyummy sweet potato fries.
I especially love that it's vegetarian society approved, since you don't have to worry about if they cook the vegan meal together with meat or dairy products (which unfortunately is the case in more cases and places than I want to think about..)
I can't even remember the last time I had a Strawberry shake and a burger (*vegan happy dance!*) The tofu burger that I had was dreamy, I mean guacamole, teriyaki sauce AND peanut butter sauce - the vegan burger from heaven!
